This well respected company are looking to launch a new product in time for Christmas 2009, the product has the potential to become a market leader.
Ideally you will have experience of retail channels within and Electronic oriented market with knowledge of PDA, cellular phones or car Hi-Fi. You will also have gained experience of Marketing products to companies such as Kenwood, Sony, Halfords and Dixons.
This will be an office based role located in Basingstoke.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Definition and execution of a competitive portfolio of business and consumer two-way, Dect (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) and other new products and accessories for EMEA End users. - Manage the product life cycle of specified product areas as defined by the CBC business road map Ownership of and drive of all project related marketing/business tasks by working with other local and global disciplines. - Cradle to grave ownership of products including project and day to day support. - Overall road map planning of products and releases. - Support of projects and distribution in the role of product expert including day to day assistance. - Review, suggest enhancements and sign off product definition documents from early capture to final customer documentation. deliverable e.g. user guides. - Develop and communicate strategies and presentations highlighting company products and unique selling points. - Define and prioritise feature/project requests. - Work closely with Marketing team to create and implement portfolio Marketing and Communication Plans. - Develop and communicate product cancellations plans minimizing scrap cost/inventory working with factories and businesses.
For this position it will be essential that you have experience with retail channels that are Electronic oriented. Further you will possess a proven track record of promoting relevant products (such as wireless/digital recorders) into companies such as Sony, Currys and Argos etc. The Product Manager vacancy requires a results driven individual with an ability to forge strong relationships and work using your own initiative.
The basic salary for this role will be 35 - 38k (depending on level of experience) with a performance related bonus of 8% and a guaranteed bonus of 2 weeks extra pay + pension.
