SOG Technician / Switch Engineer 2G
A Switch Engineer/SOG Technician is required to assist in the operation and maintenance of regional and national Node Bs. Working for a large Mobile Telecoms organisation this role will require knowledge of Switching platforms within 2G networks.
Responsibilities/Core Tasks:
- Software / Hardware Upgrades / Expansions on Node B's and RNCs via NetAct and Local connection
- Responsible for the operation and ongoing maintenance of regional and national Node B's
- Implementing SAC'S LACS, Routing Zones and assigning Node B's to Media Gateways.
- Upgrading AXC by loading latest XML Files
- Ensuring all network elements are integrated to NetAct
- Upgrading the Node B and Flexi BTS Remote Antenna Units
